2025-2026 Semester 2
In 2025–2026 Semester 2, BRIDGE welcomed over 200 participants from HKBU, HKUST, and CityUHK. Together, they represented more than 100 native languages and hailed from over 90 countries and regions — including: Bangladesh, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Turkey, and the United States — and many more.
This vibrant diversity reflects BRIDGE’s mission: building meaningful intercultural exchange and fostering friendships across borders.

“My BRIDGE experience has been one of the most meaningful opportunities of my time here. The greatest impact has been getting to know a local friend deeply, even amid the incredibly compact, overwhelming schedules of midterms and finals in March and April. […] What struck me most was how genuine curiosity about each other’s cultures and lives turned casual interactions into a lasting, warm relationship. This experience taught me that meaningful connection doesn’t require endless free time – it thrives on mutual care, effort, and a willingness to see beyond surface-level differences. It’s a bond I know will extend far beyond the BRIDGE programme, and I’m so grateful for this chance to grow alongside someone from the local community.”
CHEN Lingfeng, CityUHK, May 2026
“Before joining bridge, I never imagined I could use French to talk about daily things or share myself. It was like a dream for me, because I am only good on paper but not at listening and speaking. But after joining bridge, seeing other people who are also trying their best to talk in their target language motivated me to speak up and try as well. And I will never regret that choice because it made me who I am now, a person who is willing to speak and listen in her target language and not afraid of making mistakes.”
